Autumn-Winter 2013/14

You can always rely on Gucci to bring that aristocratic touch to garments which is why it is such a prominent brand in fashion. This time, Gucci shared their honouring of the outlandish preppy gent, an exclusive set who use their clothing as an extension of stance and spirit.

What was instantly surprising was the usage of neoprene, an atypical material for the Gucci group but it came anyway and gratefully in baby blue, lapels wide and sharp on a double breasted knee length coat and also a military jacket, tight and centred. That was actually the majority of the outwear offered at Gucci, however, they produced these two garments in a plethora of tones and textures such as boucle, leather and fur which pattern looked like a dried up lake.

Whatever colour you preferred; it was there along with chunky polo necks, plaid suiting in one, two and double breasted featuring nifty styling in the form of a polo shirt layered over a polo neck or shirt. In a variety of tones such as black, fluorescents, monochromatic, burgundies, whites and sands – no garment looked similar; apart from trousers that were seamed neatly just below the tongue of boots .

Milan maybe nearing its end but the resounding designs, including Gucci indicates the dapper is making an anticipated return.
