Tall straw hats topped heads and obscured the eyes of models in this new collection by Rodolfo Paglialunga for Jil Sander. A more deconstructed take on the generally structured brand, slit-shouldered jackets and halterneck waistcoats each made an appearance among silk blouses and pinafore dresses. Light silk was the predominant fabric through this show, making a nearly translucent pajama-like trouser and blouse set. Knit leggings and tops appeared under double-breasted silk pinafore dresses.

Long leather coats in red and yellow were the staple outerwear, along with jackets featuring subtle mutton sleeves. Black, white, navy and grey were the common colors, with looks in bright red, yellow or blue sporadically thrown into the mix. A pale print of roses patterned silk, used for several pieces including a two-button navy suit.

D’orsay style shoes, both flat and with chunky square heels featured a buckle, or a single buckled strap across the arch. Large structured purses reflected the snakeskin patterned leather of the shoes.

There has been a movement away from the usual precision and distinct cuts seen in earlier Jil Sander collections, and this season pulls even further away in the near-shapeless silks and unstructured looks.
