Daks Women Spring Summer 2016 -Luxury tailoring with influences from the twenties and seventies was the name of the game at Daks London. Art Deco inspired tile prints were bold on shirts and slim leg trousers but still managed to maintain a strong work wear aesthetic. Suede was fundamental with tan bomber jackets and trench coats juxtaposing nicely with the tailoring and creating a more casual element to the collection. Muted floral prints softened the looks whilst drop waist gowns with capes added some interesting silhouettes. The colour palette relied heavily on monochrome mixed with blues and greys with the deep brown of the suede adding some warmth and texture. The show ended with a long A-line skirt featuring an obi belt, teamed with a crisp white shirt – in true Daks style, of course.

With sharp tailoring, strong yet subtle accessories must be used, cross ankle strap shoes were matched with structured handbags in brown and black leather. Hair was pulled away from the face but left loose and paired with classic make up.

With a collection soaked in elegance and heritage with a twist, it’s easy to see why this quintessentially British brand has stood the test of time.
