Stephanie Seymour was born in California in 1968 and is a model and actress.
Stephanie’s modelling career began when she became a finalist in the Elite Model Management ‘Look of the Year’ contest when she was 15. From this exposure Stephanie worked steadily within the industry and in the late 80s her success began to accelerate, leading to her being a frequent face in the iconic Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.
Stephanie was one of the first models to feature for the then emerging company, Victoria’s Secret. She appeared in the mail order catalogue and in the brands campaigns. Continuing her popularity as a lingerie model Stephanie also modelled for Playboy in 1991 and again in 1993. In 1993 Stephanie also became the face of L’Oreal, signing a lucrative multi year contract.
In 1998 Stephanie was photographed by renowned photographer Herb Ritts for one of the most iconic shoots of her career, for the cover of Vogue.
Stephanie featured alongside Claudia Schiffer for Salvatore Ferragamo’s Autumn/Winter 2008 collection, the campaign was shot by prestigious photographer Mario Testino. Stephanie was also honoured by Vogue as she was counted as one of the magazines ‘Modern Muses’.
Though now mostly retired as a model Stephanie has done a limited amount of work in the industry recently including opening the Hermes show in 2008, appearing in Numero, Elle and V magazine and becoming the face of Valentino.
As well as working as a model Stephanie is also an actor and a writer. In 1998 she released the book ‘Stephanie Seymour’s Beauty Secrets for Dummies’ and she has appeared in film ‘Pollock’ and the TV series ‘Law & Order: Criminal intent’.

When she was first signed to Elite Model Management Stephanie began an affair with its head, John Casablancas. The couple broke up after briefly living together. Stephanie was marries to musician Tommy Andrews and together they had her first child. Stephanie then became involved with Axl Rose, she appeared in two music videos for his band Guns’n’Roses. After a highly publicised break up Stephanie went on to marry billionaire Peter Brant and together they had two children. Stephanie appeared with her children in a campaign for Gap in 2006.
Throughout her career, Seymour’s personal life occasionally garnered attention. In 2017, she made headlines when she celebrated her wedding to billionaire Peter Brant, with whom she shares a beautiful family. Her dedication to her loved ones and ability to balance her personal life with her professional pursuits added to her enigmatic charm.
