Pinstripes

Pinstriped fabric is a fabric that is woven to have tiny stripes running throughout it. These are usually vertically down the fabric, and are as thin as a pin, hence the name. These stripes are created by using a different coloured warp thread at specific intervals. This is usually a contrasting colour to the rest of the warp. Pinstripe fabric is generally used in suiting fabrics, where the background is black and the stripes are white or a similar pale colour.
