Plaid

Plaid fabric is another word for tartan fabric. It is a colour woven checked fabric, that is created using many different thicknesses of lines, which intersect to create different colours. Usually two or more different colours are used and these can vary depending on the fabric being created. Originally Plaid fabrics were made using a percentage of wool, but now different fibres can be used.
