Alexis Mabille Women Autumn-Winter 2015 – Alexis Mabille is a man who cultivates a spirit that is equal parts chic and fun loving, which undoubtedly is expressed within his collections.

Today’s show captured that spirit and showcased elegance and a natural casual attitude come together with a sporty-chic attitude. It was the perfect balance where “chic meets street”, with sweater dresses, structured shirts and fitted jersey pants.
Mabille is in a daywear mood this season, as seen in his Pre-Fall 15 collection. At heart, he is a fantasist, who likes to decorate his clothes to the extreme. However, he seems to be stripping back on his signature style and learning that less could possibly mean more.
Mabille’s main focus of the collection was on the silhouette, using prints and fabric to create strong shapes.  The first few looks focused on an hourglass figure using different techniques to give the cinched in waist look. Criss-cross detailing, lines and belts were all used to create the feminine silhouette.
Although, that structure soon changed to a strong sharp sculptured look, when crisp shirts were introduced with padded shoulders teamed with elongating flares and a wrap style skirt.
The twisted crossing detail ran throughout the collection in an icy cold wintery colour palette of white, pale pink and blue, silver, dark blue and black.
It wouldn’t be a complete Alexis Mabille collection without lace making an appearance in some form.  Baby pink lace flares, a black lace top and a white lace coat dress all contributed to Mabille working his aesthetic into the collection.

Models strutted down the catwalk at the Hotel Salomon de Rothschild in T-bar sandals, minimal sandals and slick back hair.
