Houndstooth is back, with cobalt blue and khaki making a bold stand against a variety of monochrome looks. From the start the collection impressed, with voluminous sportier looks. Tailored pieces were complimented with intricate embroidery and a mix of rich textures. But there was a definite sense of masculinity this season, something unexpected from the brand. Flat, smarter shoes made a daring appearance but Ermanno Scervino did not lose its magnificent originality, proven by the utterly fancy evening wear. The gorgeous fur, lace and embellished pieces were luxurious. The small leather belting seen throughout added a unique yet feminine touch, defining the waistline and showing us how to wear the belt this fall.
